Eligibility:
• Only legal US residents may apply
• Former recipients of the Keyholder Residency, Fully Sponsored
Keyholder Residency, or Scholarship Keyholder Residency are not
eligible
• Students enrolled in any kind of degree program at the time of
the residency are not eligible
• Keyholder Residencies are limited to emerging artists only.
The Printshop defines emerging artists as under-recognized and
under-represented artists at early stages in their careers
• Artists without a studio space are encouraged to apply
Application Requirements:
• 5-10 digital images of recent (past 2 years) work
on a CD*
• image list: your name, work title, year, medium, and dimensions
• artistic resume
• letter of intention describing briefly your plans for the
residency and your current studio situation
• names and contact information for two references
• no application form is required
* Images should
be in JPEG format, resolution 200 pixel/inch, maximum dimensions 800 x 800
pixels, RGB color mode. Title each image as "your last name_your first name_#" (ex.
Smith_John_03.jpg). Images will be projected from a Mac computer.
Write your
name on the CD and do not send any additional materials or samples of your
work-they will not be reviewed.
Materials must be delivered or postmarked by the deadline date, no exceptions.
Application materials will not be returned.
Artists will be notified about the outcome of their
applications before October 1. No phone and/or email inquiries,
please.
The Printshop does not provide housing assistance.
