In this one-day course students will create two finished zines of their own creative work be it image, text, or a combination of the two. The materials and techniques used in this class will be simple, readily accessible, and promote fast and easy material distribution. Students will learn about zine history and source images both digitally and through analog means. We will utilize the copier, digital printer, basic software tools, and various binding (saddle staple, perfect bind, saddle stitch) techniques to make our works. The goal is for everyone to take home their own as well as a traded zine from everyone else in class at the end of the workshop!
