One-Day Weekend Workshop, 10am – 4pm
July 18, 2026

Fee: $175 including materials and 6 hours of studio time

This one-day workshop introduces a hybrid printmaking process combining relief linoleum carving and pochoir techniques. Participants will learn how hand-cut duralar stencils can be used alongside carved linoleum blocks to build layered, multi-color prints with the possibility to explore monoprints and creating editions. Students will begin by printing with stencils to establish color, shape, and composition before carving their blocks. After learning the fundamentals of carving line, texture, silhouette and mark-making, they will print their blocks using both press and hand-printing methods. The final stage returns to stencil printing, allowing students to add additional colors, gradients, and textures to carved and unprinted areas.
