This course provides an exciting introduction to a broad range of printmaking. Through monotype, intaglio, and relief techniques, we will learn traditional and non-traditional methods for planning and printing an image - applying ink, working with drypoint and cutting into wood and linoleum blocks. Topics also include paper tearing, appropriate printing press set-up, ink modification, chine collé, registration, and printing multiple plates. This class uses non-toxic inks.
